We said as we watched them box everything up that they packed each piece as if it were their very own. From the beginning when our consultant showed up to provide an estimate and get the ball rolling, we were highly impressed with the professionalism of your employees. Afterward, the consultant stayed in constant contact while walking us through each step in the process.

Next, our packers were patient and thorough in packing all of our items and such a delight to have in our home for two days. The day of the move was extremely hot but the crew worked diligently and tirelessly to load everything and leave the house empty two hours before the walk through. On this day, our consultant stopped by to ensure that everything was to our satisfaction.

Upon our arrival in Asheville, the crew again arrived exactly at the appointed hour and unloaded the truck in record time. They took great care with all our possessions moving in without a scratch on any wall.

We have repeatedly thanked our natural friend, Bill B., for his recommendation of your company. Should we require a moving company in the future, we surely will utilize your company again. Also, we will highly recommend your service to all of our friends.

Gilbert and I would to take this opportunity to say “thank you” for the great service we received during our move from Ashburn to Haymarket this past weekend. The fellas from Interstate demonstrated excellence, customer service, care and concern over our furnishings. As you may know, moving is a challenging task in and of itself, but when you have a company that can send top notch, qualified and experienced movers with personality to move you, it makes a tough task “feel” and “look” easier. I received my shipment today and wanted to commend the staff for a job well-done! Not only did they show up on time, but they were very professional and courteous. They moved quickly yet carefully and neatly packed the boxes into the storage facility. Although the shipment had several different colored inventory stickers, they helped to create an easy system of tracking the tags. This crew is exceptional and a true credit to Interstate. They are the example for others to follow.

I recently had my household good delivered (8 June 2011) to my new home in Maryland. I informed both TMO and Ace Van & Storage Company that my driveway would not accommodate the normal delivery truck (18 wheeler). I requested that smaller trucks be used because I had a long driveway that was all uphill. In addition, I had almost 17,000 lbs that I wanted to unpack.

Working for the government, I have been packed and unpacked over a dozen times and I have never had the pleasure of being unpacked by the kind of professionals that unpacked me on 8 June. Usually, sometime during this process, I end up frustrated and angry because the movers do not care and do not listen to what I would like done. This is just a job for them. This was not the case with these men. The men worked efficiently and effectively but more important as a ‘team.’ They followed my instructions and it was ‘service with a smile.’ Not once did they complain about what I asked them to do, or made excuses for why something could not or should not go upstairs. Mr. Michael What I noticed most about the team leader, other than his integrity, was that he treated my household goods and my home as if it was his. He ensured pads were placed on my wooden floors and also outside so as not to damage my furniture as they unpacked it. He made certain that nothing was ‘scooted’ or dragged across my wooden floors. These were the hardest working men I have ever encountered in all my moves, and on one of the hottest days ever! These men did an extraordinary job and took pride in their work. They are truly to be commended for their extraordinary efforts to ensure the customer was happy. I was very impressed and happy.

My customer service point of contact stayed in contact with me throughout the process from beginning to end. I had her direct extension and never had a problem contacting her or getting a response. Not only was she always in constant communication with me, she was always upbeat and very friendly. This process is extremely stressful especially when I had never done it before and calling my point of contact was never the dreadful part. Last week I was able to obtain some of my items. I could not remember what was in what box (since I moved in the beginning of March) and I was having a hard time deciding what to retrieve. Without hesitation suggested, the crew opened the boxes that I suspected I may need and re-taped them if I did not want them. I was able to take only what was necessary in a fast and efficient manner.

I want to thank you for the fine job the Interstate team did with our recent ‘partial’ move. Having lived in the same house for 22 years, we did not look forward to the moving process, even for a partial move.

Our consultant was the consummate professional, showing up as scheduled, making sound recommendations about storage and scheduling, returning calls promptly and assisting with the complications of a ‘partial’ move. I particularly appreciate his strong recommendation that we not schedule delivery for the day of the settlement.

On loading day (of course) it snowed! Not much, not a blizzard, but nevertheless, snow. The loading team still arrived on time. I had done a little bit of shoveling myself, but they pitched in and did a much more thorough job than I had done. They were very careful to load all the pieces I wanted to take and equally as careful not to load pieces I didn’t want to take. Everything was wrapped carefully with maximum protection. The team of Mike, Mac and Rob were polite, helpful, flexible, professional and they were communicators.

On delivery day, they arrived about the time one consultant had indicated and our crew was quick, efficient, helpful and flexible. They were so pleasant throughout the process, even when you have the ‘the chair didn’t work where I told you to put it, so would you please move it to this room?’ We are grateful to both of them.

We will certainly be contacting you when we are ready for the next phase of our move. I’m not even confident they can handle my treasured piano!
